18 HOLES IN PLAYA DE LAS AMÉRICAS

The course is attractively located in a natural, gently sloping amphitheater with a par 72 and 6.051 meters in length. Among its attractions, it offers ravines and lakes which contributes to a pleasant environmental effect.

HOLE 1 - PAR 5 - HANDICAP 7

The only place to be on this starting hole is down the middle. The second shot on this hole is the important one. Either risk the distance of hitting the green in 2 over the lake or lay up to the right.

HOLE 2 – PAR 4 – HANDICAP 3

Stay left of middle with your drive and you should have a shot to the green for your second.

HOLE 3 – PAR 4 – HANDICAP 5

On this hole without good length from your drive you might have to lay up short of the green with your second as there is a stream running 20 meters short of the green.

HOLE 4 – PAR 4 – HANDICAP 15

This is a short Par 4 with an elevated green. If your second shot is short of the green, the ball will roll back quite a distance

HOLE 5 – PAR 3 – HANDICAP 9

This Par 3 is a risk and reward hole with a carry of up to 165 meters across the lake to the green. Play right if you cannot carry the water.

HOLE 6 – PAR 4 – HANDICAP 1

You will need to keep your drive right of center on the fairway otherwise it will run off to the left. This is a long par 4 and a par is a good score here any day.

HOLE 7 – PAR 5 – HANDICAP 13

On this hole play for the middle of the fairway otherwise the ball will run off left or right causing difficulties for your second shot.

HOLE 8 – PAR 3 – HANDICAP 17

This is a deceptive Par 3 and looks shorter than the actual distance.

HOLE 9 – PAR 4 – HANDICAP 11

This Par 4 is a dog leg right and you need to play an accurate drive down the right of middle of the fairway to have an approach shot to the green.

HOLE 10 – PAR 4 – HANDICAP 4

This is a long Par 4 where a par is a good score on this hole.

HOLE 11 – PAR 3 – HANDICAP 18

If you’re not accurate with your tee shot on this par 3, the two bunkers fronting the green are strategically placed.

HOLE 12 – PAR 4 – HANDICAP 6

Although this is a relatively short Par 4, be mindful of the out of bounds on the left and the water on the right.

HOLE 13 – PAR 3 – HANDICAP 16

Relatively short Par 3 but it requires an accurate tee shot to the green to carry both of the lakes in front of the green.

HOLE 14 – PAR 4 – HANDICAP 14

This is a blind Tee shot to the green but as it is a short Par 4, a 3 wood or an iron is the shot to play here.

HOLE 15 – PAR 4 – HANDICAP 2

This is the second hardest hole on the course because of its length and small green. A par is a good score here.

HOLE 16 – PAR 5 – HANDICAP 12

From the tee this has a narrow driving area with out of bounds on the left but the fairway opens up from 2oo meters onwards.

HOLE 17 – PAR 4 – HANDICAP 8

An accurate drive to the middle/left side of the fairway will give you a good angle for the second shot to the green.

HOLE 18 – PAR 5 – HANDICAP 10

After your drive on this hole, for your 2nd and 3rd shots be wary of the lake on the right hand side of the fairway approaching the green.
