Scottish players living in Tenerife Brian and Elliot Thom (father & son)
This past Sunday, Golf Las Américas celebrated the Father's Day together with numerous parents and their children of all ages, who joined the celebration of this important family day in the UK. Our Golf course located in the Canary Islands wished to support the celebration of this special festivity with this event and unite families on the course.
Throughout the past week, Golf Las Américas has placed the Union Jack on the pins of the holes as a tribute to the United Kingdom during this special week, in which the most important female amateur golf tournament was held: the Women's Amateur Championship in the Northern Irish course of County Down Golf Club, with the final winner as the English Emily Toy.
Golf Las Américas, located in the south of the island of Tenerife, is a 18-hole garden in the heart of Playa de Las Américas. The centre is very well connected, easy to get to and recognised for its excellent state of maintenance and the speed of its greens, with an annual average temperature of 23ºC. About 2/3 of the players who visit this beautiful field are of British origin and it is for this reason that our Team have adapted to provide a warm welcome for British players with different events, promotions and celebrations throughout the year.
